Welcome to a Cultural Evolution Seminar Tuesday 12th of December.

Kimmo Eriksson at the Centre for the Study of Cultural Evolution, SU and professor of mathematics/applied mathematics at Mälardalen University
& Pontus Strimling associate professor in economics at the Institute for Future Studies will give a talk on from their project on norms and cooperation in humans.

Abstract: Countless papers on human cooperation start by claiming that it is an
evolutionary puzzle. The meaning of this phrase rests on a number of
strong assumptions about what cooperation is and the process by which
it evolves. These assumptions are usually not made explicit and are
never questioned. Here we discuss what these assumptions are and why
we think they are invalid.

Time: Tue 12 Dec, 14.00-15.00 (with fika at CEK afterwards)

Most welcome!
