Insect-plant interactions in Stockholm

The study of the interaction between butterflies and their host plants has a long history at the the Department of Zoology.

This research was pioneered in the 1970's by Christer Wiklund, who among other things made invaluable contributions to our understanding of the nature of preference hierarchies and their relationship to larval performance.

Today, the work is mainly carried on by the groups of Niklas Janz and Sören Nylin
